Homeopathy is a safe and effective
system of medicine, used by millions
worldwide for more than 200 years. |
|
13:09:29 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Medicines are prepared from natural
sources, and are used in extremely small
amounts. They are recognized by the
FDA. |
|
13:09:50 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
They are non-toxic and safe for
children, infants adults and animals. |
|
13:10:25 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Homeopathy is based on a principle that
like cures like. That is, if a
substance can cause symptoms in a
healthy person, they can sure them in a
sick person. |

Homeopathy regards symptoms as the
body's healthy attempt to restore itself
to balance. |
|
13:12:32 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
A homeopath will choose a remedy that
supports the symptoms, rather than
opposing tehm or suppressing them. |

In homeopathy, we treat the person, not
the 'disease' so not to be vague, but
there isn't a remedy for insomnia, per
se. You need to find out more about the
person, the insomnia, etc before
choosing an appropriate remedy. |

Could you talk about miasms and how they
affect the way you prescribe remedies?
Do you always use a single
\constitutional\" remedy or do you ever
work on removing the \"layers\" of
miasms?" |

I always use a single dose. Combination
remedies are made by combing the MOST
LIKELY remedy for an illness, ie,
sinusitis, in the hopes that the one you
need will be in there. As a result,
people often get only partial results. |
|
13:19:08 |
purplepeace |
Oops, I didn;t mean combination
remedies. I was referring to using
nosodes to make a case more clear |

hi how is everyone doing today i had an
question |
|
13:19:40 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Miasms are not very relevant for me in
prescribing, it is more like an
interesting theory. I take a good case,
which get all the patients symptons and
then match the remedy that fits
closest. If I'm right, the remedy
triggers the body to start healing it |
|
13:19:53 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
itself- that's important. |
|
13:20:27 |

when u breastfeed people tell me your
breast start to sag and u lose weight is
that true? |
|
13:20:40 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
If the case is unclear that might be a
good strategy, but most of my cases are
clear. If you take a complete case, it
is usually clear! |
|
13:21:07 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Is that a homeopathy question? |
|
13:21:26 |
purplepeace |
I see. Is/are there leading homeopaths
that you find particularly helpful for
casetaking techniques (Sankaran, Seine,
Vitolkos, etc) |

get into a mito specialist. Do you have
any reccomendations for other things to
start in the meantime? |
|
13:25:17 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Sorry, that's not really a homeopathy
question. I'm sure there are good
supplements for this and it seems like
you've found some. A homeopathic remedy
might also be of value, but again, we
would need to know a lot more about him
to suggest something... |

ok - ! how does homeopathy come into
play with chronic diseases such as
cystic fibrosis or diabetes? can a
homeopathic practice go hand in hand
with these ailments? If so, how does
one start? |
|
13:28:38 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
ALL remedies are safe. Homeopathy is
energy medicine, ie, it is not give in
crude (or milligram doses). The dosing
is not determined by the age or weight
of the baby unlike in conventional
medicine. Its like getting a key in a
lock. If the remedy is |
|
13:28:58 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
right, it will help, if its not right,
likely nothing will happen. |

well, my homeopath said not to take the
lachesis (my constitutional)...and I
really need it!! |
|
13:31:29 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Homeopathy is excellent in chronic
disease because it actually starts the
body to heal itself- the remedies don,t
heal you, they only act as a trigger for
the body to heal. EHomeopathy excels in
treating people with chronic disease
compared to convention |
|
13:31:41 |
