Cloth Diaper Chat #17-- with Rebecca of Cuddle Baby
8/10/05

10 mamas in attendance

19:02:33 amysuen Hello, is this the diapering chat?
19:02:38 mod_Cuddlebaby yes
19:02:49 amysuen Goody! So.... chat! :)
19:02:55 mod_Cuddlebaby :)
19:03:03 mod_Cuddlebaby i'm one handed
19:03:18 mod_Cuddlebaby whats your favorite diaper/system?
19:03:22 amysuen Ah, been there, done that!
19:03:30 mod_Cuddlebaby nursing
19:04:05 amysuen Um... I like them all :)  Right now it's mostly fitteds and wool because I make my own and it's easier to make fitteds than PUL AIOs.
19:04:27 amysuen Oh, I don't like pfs, I'm folding impaired. LOL
19:04:27 mod_Cuddlebaby do you sell?  have a website?
19:04:27 TurboClaudia hello!
19:04:49 mod_Cuddlebaby welcome claudia!
19:04:54 amysuen No, I don't sell or have a website. I dream of it, but have no time.
19:04:58 amysuen Welcome Claudia!
19:05:07 mod_Cuddlebaby me too
19:05:13 mod_Cuddlebaby are you amy?
19:05:23 amysuen Yup :)
19:05:43 mod_Cuddlebaby do you knit or crochet your wool covers?
19:05:44 TurboClaudia folding impaired... hee hee
19:06:05 amysuen Sew so far, but am learning to knit. Again, no time.
19:06:12 mod_Cuddlebaby i grew up foplding those very old thin birdseye
19:06:28 mod_Cuddlebaby and pinning and rubber pants on my 8 siblings
19:06:33 amysuen I used pfs, pins and Gerber plastic pants with DS1 who's now 17. Never again!
19:07:11 mod_Cuddlebaby yeah and thats whaat people think of when you tell yhem ou are using cloth
19:07:35 amysuen Yeah, not that I have anything against pfs, I admire people who can fold them.
19:07:38 mod_Cuddlebaby they dont realize other than wasdhing that its just as easy as disp
19:07:39 TurboClaudia the majority of our cloth diaper collection is CPFs
19:08:01 amysuen Then I admire you!
19:08:06 mod_Cuddlebaby i'm partial to prefolds
19:08:21 mod_Cuddlebaby and just now exploring the wool world
19:08:29 amysuen Do you have fun colors and everything? I love looking at pretty pfs.
19:08:34 TurboClaudia we just graduated to premium sized a month or so ago
19:08:52 mod_Cuddlebaby welcome to bash!
19:08:59 amysuen I'm pretty new to wool too, but I really like it.
19:09:17 bashthebalrog Hi, just visiting -- my kids are OUT of dipes finally!
19:09:22 mod_Cuddlebaby my mom just crocjeted some alpaca and wool covers
19:09:23 TurboClaudia no fun colors.  just unbleached with white/natural serging
19:09:36 mod_Cuddlebaby haven't gotten them yet though
19:09:48 amysuen Hi bash!
19:09:56 TurboClaudia just bought a secondhand wool cover from a friend of mine, and i love it.
19:10:02 mod_Cuddlebaby ive made a few hemp prefolds--
19:10:07 bashthebalrog I love love love wool covers.
19:10:10 TurboClaudia hi bash!
19:10:11 amysuen My mom doesn't crochet, but my mil does. She made a soaker that didn't fit.
19:10:25 amysuen LOL
19:10:30 mod_Cuddlebaby :(
19:10:55 mod_Cuddlebaby bash you used wool covers?  (soakers)
19:11:34 bashthebalrog I used flannel prefolds and mostly wool covers (Biobottoms and Imse Vimse).
19:11:53 mod_Cuddlebaby btw the transcripts of this chat will be posted on Sunday so keep that in mind.
19:12:00 bashthebalrog Biobottoms wool covers are the best ever.
19:12:09 mod_Cuddlebaby did you pin?
19:12:15 bashthebalrog Nope, no pins
19:12:15 mod_Cuddlebaby flannel is hard to pin through.
19:12:31 amysuen I didn't know they posted the transcripts. Is that new?
19:12:41 mod_Cuddlebaby not really.
19:12:45 amysuen Bash, did you snappi then or just trifold?
19:12:52 mod_Cuddlebaby She's done it for a while.
19:12:59 bashthebalrog Just folded!
19:13:00 mod_Cuddlebaby so you can see what you missed huh?
19:13:13 mod_Cuddlebaby or in case there's a url or some information you couldn't get written down...
19:13:23 bashthebalrog So that's why I used the close-fitting covers
19:13:28 mod_Cuddlebaby I've read the Jay Gordon chat...very good!
19:13:32 mod_Cuddlebaby educational.
19:13:33 amysuen Cool! I used to use lay-in contours and it was SO easy!
19:13:59 TurboClaudia we snappi
19:14:05 mod_Cuddlebaby that does sound easy.
19:14:14 mod_Cuddlebaby the prefold didn't shift on you?
19:14:16 amysuen Snappis look complicated
19:14:23 mod_Cuddlebaby I'd think it wouldn't hold poop well....
19:14:26 TurboClaudia nah, very easy
19:14:28 bashthebalrog My new favorite contours are Motherease. They fit all ages (one size dipe) and the covers stay clean almost always, so you can have just 2 covers per size
19:14:43 amysuen My contours shifted and leaked poo. I like fitteds better.
19:15:03 amysuen I haven't tried ME though, I have too many Rainbows! LOL
19:15:07 bashthebalrog Mmm, maybe Motherease are fitted. Sorry, poor terminology use
19:15:17 mod_Cuddlebaby I've seen both of those....
19:15:41 amysuen And how do they compare?
19:15:47 mod_Cuddlebaby me has a bit too much poly in it for my likes...but the huge advantage is that they last through more than one kid!
19:16:02 amysuen (Washing DS after dinner, be right back)
19:16:16 bashthebalrog My motherease say 100% cotton...?
19:16:21 mod_Cuddlebaby If you do like bash did (get a VERY well fitting cover) then a contour would be okay...
19:16:28 mod_Cuddlebaby other than that I don't get contours  :)
19:16:38 mod_Cuddlebaby really?
19:16:46 mod_Cuddlebaby maybe they changed then.
19:17:00 bashthebalrog yeah... they are terry. Maybe the leg trim has poly?
19:17:04 TurboClaudia any of you use fuzzibunz?
19:17:15 TurboClaudia stuffed with a prefold, not a joeybunz?
19:17:20 mod_Cuddlebaby i have...not too impressed
19:17:28 mod_Cuddlebaby lots of people just LOVE them though.
19:17:59 amysuen I'm back :) No FB but I have a Wonderoo
19:18:05 mod_Cuddlebaby fuzzi bunz are very popular...
19:18:17 amysuen I've heard lots of good things about them...
19:18:21 TurboClaudia i own 3 of them, all them secondhand and the old style with round tabs not pointy tabs.
19:18:23 mod_Cuddlebaby I think I'd like a hemp or joey or something inside, I had prefolds in mine.
19:18:33 amysuen but I don't like the pointy tabs. Call me picky! LOL
19:18:52 mod_Cuddlebaby were there any other changes?
19:19:04 mod_Cuddlebaby baby fat would come over the diaper and get poked!
19:19:07 TurboClaudia and one of them my skinny legged toddler just pees out the side of.
19:19:17 amysuen I've heard about different types of fleece inside, some thicker than others
19:19:40 mod_Cuddlebaby yeah I heard that too.
19:19:54 mod_Cuddlebaby and they legs do have to fit perfectly, as it IS a cover too.
19:20:06 TurboClaudia it's medium and i have it on the smallest leg snap, but it's still gappy so he gets *shifted* inside the dipe, and then the pee just drips out the side instead of being wicked up by the prefold
19:20:10 amysuen I wouldn't know about skinny legs, DS's are 13 ! :omg:"
19:20:30 TurboClaudia how old is he?  ours is 14 mos
19:20:31 mod_Cuddlebaby healthy baby!
19:20:40 TurboClaudia and his legs are 9ish"

08/10/05"
19:20:58 mod_Cuddlebaby you might try it again in a month or so after he's grown a bit.
19:21:24 amysuen I think it's fascinating how the same diaper fits differently on different babies.
19:21:45 amysuen Not like pants or something that fit most body shapes.
19:22:03 mod_Cuddlebaby that fascinates me too.
19:22:15 mod_Cuddlebaby kind of tough for a pg mom to know what size to have on hand....
19:22:24 bashthebalrog That's what i like about biobottoms and imse vimse bumpies -- they adjust infinitely to fit perfectly
19:22:27 TurboClaudia yeah, we had the same problem with the other two as well so we weren't using them at all, but then he had a growth spurt and now those two are fitting better
19:22:40 TurboClaudia are they snap covers?
19:22:45 amysuen And what brand" or style..."
19:22:45 mod_Cuddlebaby yup bash...exactly what I like about prefolds and really great covers.
19:22:47 bashthebalrog i had a plump baby and then a skinny one
19:23:04 bashthebalrog no, not snap -- velcro
19:23:13 TurboClaudia ahh...
19:23:20 amysuen Are IV and Bios wool? (I missed that) How stretchy?
19:23:27 bashthebalrog Biobottoms brand Rainbow Classic
19:23:33 bashthebalrog wool cover
19:23:33 TurboClaudia that would probably work better for us with the skinny legs...
19:24:08 mod_Cuddlebaby claudia, I made a note of your skinny baby  :)
19:24:23 bashthebalrog Imse Vimse brand Bumpys -- also a wool cover. same as biobottoms but don't last as well
19:24:32 mod_Cuddlebaby if I weren't a tiny bit behind on orders I'd offer you all a Nappie Wrap...
19:24:44 mod_Cuddlebaby hey, just keep coming back and maybe I will have something to give out  :)
19:24:51 amysuen How nice!
19:24:57 TurboClaudia thanks, r.  :)
19:25:09 amysuen I have 3 wool covers but 2 I made so I don't know how they compare...
19:25:22 mod_Cuddlebaby I love making the covers too, such fun prints!
19:25:24 bashthebalrog oops, am i taking your business?
19:25:25 amysuen Do your covers have ruffles" or are the legs T&T?"
19:25:38 mod_Cuddlebaby amy, I used to have that problem.
19:25:47 mod_Cuddlebaby I only made everything my first two used...
19:26:00 amysuen My business? I just make for our use.
19:26:19 bashthebalrog never mind, sorry
19:26:22 mod_Cuddlebaby elastic legs, no ruffle, very adjustable...
19:26:28 amysuen I make most because I can't afford to buy... and I love to sew!
19:26:28 bashthebalrog nak, distracted
19:26:35 mod_Cuddlebaby not mine either really...
19:26:53 mod_Cuddlebaby you are nursing a potty trained child bash?
19:27:01 mod_Cuddlebaby I have one of those!
19:27:02 bashthebalrog 2 of them...
19:27:13 amysuen I made mine from the cuddlebuns pattern and didn't like the ruffles under clothes.
19:27:21 z2akids Hi there
19:27:23 amysuen Good for you bash! :)
19:27:27 mod_Cuddlebaby http://www.cuddlebaby.com/accessories.html

19:27:35 bashthebalrog thanks

19:27:48 z2akids nak
19:27:59 mod_Cuddlebaby well hello z2a!!!!!
19:28:00 bashthebalrog nope -- ages 2 and 4
19:28:01 mod_Cuddlebaby welcome!!
19:28:02 z2akids ooohm someone has/having twins
19:28:11 mod_Cuddlebaby and both potty trained?
19:28:23 bashthebalrog yes -- at their own schedule
19:28:31 mod_Cuddlebaby I'm nursing my NEWLY potty trained 2 1/2 year old and the 3 month old.
19:28:34 amysuen Am I the only non-nak right now? I feel left out! LOL
19:28:41 bashthebalrog ha ha
19:28:43 z2akids excellent - is the 2 year old a young/older 2?
19:28:44 mod_Cuddlebaby wow, that's awesome bash!
19:28:56 bashthebalrog he is 2 1/2
19:29:20 mod_Cuddlebaby yup amy!
19:29:25 mod_Cuddlebaby better rectify that situation!
19:29:33 z2akids :)  I'm encouraging my 2 year old hoping for soon
19:30:00 bashthebalrog cd kids train easier and earlier, in my exp
19:30:02 amysuen He's too busy right now, we're down to mornings and before bed. :(
19:30:03 z2akids He just turned 2.  I think he's be in undies already if I didn't have princess nursing all the time
19:30:18 mod_Cuddlebaby hey z2a, wanna tell everyone tour website?
19:30:39 z2akids awww, you're so sweet - http://www.z2akids.com
19:30:50 z2akids I'm Jennifer by the way
19:30:58 amysuen Hi Jennifer!
19:31:06 bashthebalrog Hi, Jennifer
19:31:30 mod_Cuddlebaby what's everones children's ages?
19:31:32 z2akids I got my first order of Bum-Ware today for the store and I am so excited.  Can't I just keep them all for myself?
19:31:47 mod_Cuddlebaby wow-what'd you get?
19:31:49 amysuen Are y'all MDC mamas? Same usernames? (Not being nosy, I just like to regognize people)
19:32:03 z2akids Mine 4/01 (4 years old) 6/03 (2 years old) and 4 months 4/05
19:32:06 mod_Cuddlebaby yes amy
19:32:12 amysuen *I* think you can keep them all! LOL
19:32:16 z2akids I actually haven't been on MDC much yet.  Diaperpin, same username
19:32:35 amysuen Just curious. :)
19:32:43 bashthebalrog I forgot my mdc name -- oops
19:32:47 z2akids lol  wouldn't that be nice.  DH might have a fit, but who cares  ;)
19:32:53 bashthebalrog haven't logged in in a looong time
19:33:04 mod_Cuddlebaby i have a son, 10 a doughter, 7 a son, 2 1/2 and a doughter 3 months
19:33:06 amysuen Hee-hee bash!
19:33:36 amysuen I have 3 sons, 17, 6 and 12 mos and 2 daughters, 13 and 10. i think we're done now.
19:33:37 z2akids Hey, have any of you used Downy Advanced?  I hear it's being discontinued and I'm debating buying up all I can find.  I haven't tried it yet
19:33:38 mod_Cuddlebaby bash i sent you a private note
19:33:56 amysuen I love DA so I hope it's not going to be discontinued!
19:34:11 z2akids Amy - I read that on a couple of threads at Diaperpin
19:34:19 z2akids Do you use it on your dipes?
19:34:25 z2akids Any problems with fleece?
19:34:26 mod_Cuddlebaby never even heard of it
19:34:29 amysuen Bummer. I use it on dipes and towels.
19:34:44 z2akids Rebecca - it's a fabric softener that doesn't coat your fabrics
19:34:49 mod_Cuddlebaby is it a fab softener?
19:34:52 TurboClaudia sorry... antsy whiny babe...
19:34:53 bashthebalrog cuddlebaby -- um, how do I see that?
19:34:58 amysuen Just 2x a month for dipes, every wash for towels
19:35:03 mod_Cuddlebaby if it is it will decrease absorbency
19:35:05 z2akids so it is supposed to work on dipes and towels.
19:35:17 amysuen Doesn't coat the fibers and affect absorbancy
19:35:24 z2akids I've been reading really great things about it - a little scared to try though
19:35:34 mod_Cuddlebaby oh11
19:35:37 mod_Cuddlebaby !!
19:35:39 amysuen I was too, but so far so good! :) It smells strong though.
19:35:45 z2akids I hear it has a strong smell  - lol
19:35:46 mod_Cuddlebaby why being dicson?
19:35:53 amysuen ???
19:35:54 bashthebalrog ever tried plain old white vinegar as a fabric softener? removes urine odors too
19:35:54 mod_Cuddlebaby discontinued
19:36:05 z2akids Not selling well.  It's like $4.99 a bottle
19:36:19 amysuen I've always used vinegar, still do when I'm not using DA. The DA makes them softer.
19:36:20 z2akids But, that should give us 70 diaper loads
19:36:39 mod_Cuddlebaby sounds neat
19:36:57 amysuen It's expensive, but I only use 1/3-1/2 the reg amount for both dipes and towels. It lasts forever! (Maybe that's why it's not selling well LOL)
19:37:09 z2akids Okay Amy (it is Amy I hope) you've convinced me.  I'm gonna get some.  I just won a couple of auctions for some kissaluvs and they are a bit crispy
19:37:18 mod_Cuddlebaby bash look in your task bar
19:37:27 bashthebalrog figured it out, sorry
19:37:36 amysuen Yup, Amy :) It worked on a crispy hemp I got used.
19:37:43 mod_Cuddlebaby wow
19:38:30 mod_Cuddlebaby anyones foot falling asleep?
19:38:47 TurboClaudia our son is 14 months.  and then we have 2 cats, one who still thinks he's the baby.
19:38:54 mod_Cuddlebaby have to shift the baby around...
19:39:03 mod_Cuddlebaby :)
19:39:07 mod_Cuddlebaby 14 months is  great age.
19:39:12 TurboClaudia i'm not nak-ing.  newly walking boy is too busy to nurse during the day most times.
19:39:23 amysuen LOL We have 3 cats, 4 hermit crabs, a fishtank and a hamster. Whatta zoo!
19:39:30 mod_Cuddlebaby you can interact with them, everything's still new to them...and they can't talk back  (ha!)
19:39:49 amysuen Me too Claudia. :( Except the walking part, DS is just busy-busy
19:39:54 mod_Cuddlebaby animals are great  :)
19:39:54 TurboClaudia i'm excited about the talking back, though.  i like kids who can communicate.
19:40:09 amysuen We've started signing... not to go way OT!
19:40:28 mod_Cuddlebaby yeah, it's so special.   I think every stage is special.
19:40:33 mod_Cuddlebaby it just goes very quickly.
19:40:44 amysuen Me too
19:40:45 TurboClaudia our cats are great, but our older one is lazy and vocal about not wanting to be touched and of course, our son wants nothing else but to touch him.
19:41:00 mod_Cuddlebaby My 2 1/2 yo still l oves to sign.
19:41:08 mod_Cuddlebaby they pick up on it SO quicklyl!
19:41:23 amysuen We're working on change" right now. I should figure out the sign for "fluff" LOL"
19:41:24 z2akids Awww, I'm already ready for #4 - I miss that newborn stage
19:41:30 TurboClaudia i have 4 friends awaiting the births of their babes right now (actually one just had hers last thurs) and it's amazing to think back to this time last year
19:41:35 mod_Cuddlebaby And if they have trouble conveying something to you (orally) they will automatically think of a sign...it's pretty amazing to watch.
19:41:47 z2akids Although I love every new stage that comes along - so far anyway
19:41:48 TurboClaudia and i jsut saw my other friend who has a 1.5 month old
19:41:56 amysuen No kidding! Did any of you CD from birth?
19:41:57 bashthebalrog I miss newborns!
19:42:05 bashthebalrog Yes, we cd'd from birth
19:42:13 TurboClaudia we did.
19:42:16 amysuen I CD'd my 5, but not until 2 mos or so.
19:42:37 mod_Cuddlebaby of course  :)
19:42:37 z2akids also started around 6 weeks - 2 months
19:42:57 TurboClaudia we've even cd'ed on trips, except for a recent trip to las vegas for 5 days.  i was in meetings all day sat and sun and couldn't be bothered looking for a laundromat
19:43:06 amysuen Wow, that's SO cool! If we have a #6 I'd like to try. I didn't know about all the options until this past Jan.
19:43:11 z2akids Never got around to building a newborn stash
19:43:16 mod_Cuddlebaby in the beginning when there's meconium, I'd advice fleece liner so the mec doesn't stain your expensive diapers  :)
19:43:29 bashthebalrog Got to go -- 4yo is having trouble getting to sleep, needs drinks and cuddles in her bed
19:43:32 bashthebalrog Bye
19:43:35 amysuen I think a NB stash would be hard because you don't know what size your NB will be.
19:43:37 z2akids bye
19:43:39 amysuen Bye!
19:43:51 TurboClaudia i just used preemie prefolds for the first couple of weeks and  a few kissaluvs size 0s, and then we switched to regular infant size prefolds after that.
19:44:02 z2akids And they outgrow so quickly - I couldn;t justify cost
19:44:12 mod_Cuddlebaby nice chatting with you bash!
19:44:21 TurboClaudia and make sure you oil the newborn's butt so the meconium doens't stick
19:44:23 TurboClaudia :)
19:44:31 mod_Cuddlebaby I agree amy...very tough.
19:44:58 amysuen I just thought nbs are so floppy" and the only covers I knew about when my dc were nbs were Diaperaps. They're kind of stiff so I didn't want them on my nb."
19:45:01 mod_Cuddlebaby I do that too, the olive oil is the ONE must have for the changing table.
19:45:37 amysuen NOW I know better! :)
19:45:55 TurboClaudia covers with umbilical cutouts for newborns: diaperaps, proraps, green earth
19:46:05 mod_Cuddlebaby and I agree with pp about just using prefolds in the beginning if money is scarce  :)
19:46:11 TurboClaudia they are all PUL covers, though
19:46:24 mod_Cuddlebaby I even make a snap down for the umb cord on my diapers....
19:46:34 mod_Cuddlebaby which I think I will be discontinuing....
19:46:41 z2akids ooh, I'll have to keep an eye on that for next time
19:46:43 amysuen Now that I know I'll make my own.
19:46:50 amysuen Why discontinue?
19:46:59 TurboClaudia cool
19:47:01 mod_Cuddlebaby I'm going to cut down to just covers (Nappie Wraps) so keep coming here as I sew up my fabrics, I can just sell here (easier than ebay)
19:47:26 amysuen :)]
19:47:36 amysuen oops! I meant :)
19:47:48 mod_Cuddlebaby diapers are more labor intensive, require lots of different types of fabrics (just to make one diaper)....
19:47:53 mod_Cuddlebaby my covers sell better....
19:48:05 z2akids have you considered a retailer?  ;)
19:48:07 mod_Cuddlebaby other wahms make awesome diapers, not as many make covers.
19:48:16 z2akids That's really true.
19:48:17 mod_Cuddlebaby uh, okay Jennifer!
19:48:22 amysuen Good point!
19:48:34 TurboClaudia i was wondering if it's possible to make diapers from reclaimed materials, like t-shirts, old towels, old sweatshirts, etc.
19:48:35 z2akids Okay, now I need to buy one to try out.  :)
19:48:39 amysuen But I love sewing diapers.
19:48:52 mod_Cuddlebaby claudia, of course!
19:49:00 amysuen Yes! Fern and Faerie has info on how to do it.
19:49:08 mod_Cuddlebaby one of my first diapers was my hubby's old tshirt, baby ended up with a chevy emblem on the butt!
19:49:14 amysuen LOL
19:49:14 mod_Cuddlebaby that's the best way to do it !
19:49:23 mod_Cuddlebaby old towels for the absorbent part...
19:49:45 amysuen I made a few when I was figuring out what to do and they were awful, I wish I had used plain Ts instead of cute ones. Oh well...
19:49:59 mod_Cuddlebaby yeah, well live and learn  :)
19:50:06 mod_Cuddlebaby I said those exact words a BUNCH of times!
19:50:08 onthebrink hi all
19:50:09 amysuen Hi onthebrink!
19:50:14 mod_Cuddlebaby oh hello onthe!!
19:50:19 mod_Cuddlebaby we are talking diapers!
19:50:22 mod_Cuddlebaby of course!
19:50:34 onthebrink woo hoo!  love to talk cloth!
19:50:37 TurboClaudia cool! i will chekc out fern and faerie
19:50:41 mod_Cuddlebaby were you one that was (also) wanting to sew your own diapers?
19:50:52 mod_Cuddlebaby what's fern and faerie?
19:51:04 amysuen There are lots of sites out there, and a Diaper Making board at MDC.
19:51:08 TurboClaudia www.fernandfaerie.com
19:51:16 amysuen Ooh, you're fast! :)
19:51:27 TurboClaudia the diapering board at mdc overwhelms me...
19:51:33 TurboClaudia and there are too many hyenas there
19:51:46 amysuen Diaper Making is seperate. It moves slower.
19:51:53 TurboClaudia i'm of the frugal diapering variety.  :)
19:52:11 amysuen I'm frugal too, but I have a few FM.
19:52:13 onthebrink did i miss any good chat?
19:52:17 mod_Cuddlebaby I'm going to leave and come back under another name, carry on  :)
19:52:29 amysuen It's fluff so it's all good! LOL
19:52:41 onthebrink :)
19:52:46 amysuen What system do you use onthe?
19:52:54 z2akids I love it all.
19:53:02 onthebrink fuzzibunz - love them!
19:53:03 amysuen
19:53:13 onthebrink what about you all?
19:53:25 TurboClaudia we were talking about fuzzibunz earlier.
19:53:32 onthebrink yeah?
19:53:34 amysuen Mostly fitteds and wool covers, some AIOs, mostly PUL.
19:53:39 host_Cuddlebaby finally figured it out  :)
19:53:42 z2akids I misswed that part
19:53:44 amysuen I've never tried FB.
19:53:46 TurboClaudia do you have any peeing out the leg problems or are your babes chunky-thighed?
19:53:58 onthebrink with my 1st, i use fitteds with bummis siww
19:54:12 onthebrink i have chunky kids
19:54:24 TurboClaudia ahh...
19:54:25 host_Cuddlebaby I love those recycled diapers!
19:54:27 host_Cuddlebaby way cool.
19:54:32 amysuen I have 1 bummis but I don't like the plastic-y feel. Maybe it's not a siww?
19:54:50 onthebrink i prefer proraps to bummis now
19:54:58 z2akids I used, FB, HH, wonderoos (a little), CPF w/mostly Bumpy covers - day, and wool and also Bum-Ware AIO
19:55:11 host_Cuddlebaby you have an assortment!
19:55:13 onthebrink never liked wonderoos or HH
19:55:27 amysuen I like my 1 wonderoo and my 1 HH. Why don't you like them?
19:55:34 onthebrink i did prefolds and snuggleups on my newborns
19:55:38 z2akids They're both fine but not for night for us
19:55:50 onthebrink just not a great fit, i guess
19:56:00 amysuen pfs and snuggleups sounds soft and cushy!
19:56:03 z2akids HH prints wick
19:56:24 amysuen I've heard that, but not experienced it... yet
19:56:26 onthebrink I think diapers are like jeans.  it doesn't matter how cute they are or how well they are made.  if they don't fit, they aren't worth a thing!
19:56:27 host_Cuddlebaby eventhough I've had four kids and sew diapers for a living (ha!) I'm learning tons from you all!
19:56:28 z2akids anyone tried the imse vimse soft cover yet?
19:56:31 host_Cuddlebaby very interesting!
19:56:32 onthebrink yes, the HH wick a lot!
19:56:52 amysuen No imse vimse here
19:57:03 onthebrink i loved snuggleups on little tiny ones
19:57:03 z2akids oooh, I love theirs  :)
19:57:28 TurboClaudia i had an opportunity to buy some HHs secondhand from a mama whose daughter potty trained, but the prints and colors were all really girly so i chose not to... maybe that was a good thing.
19:57:42 host_Cuddlebaby I'll put up the end chat thing in about 3 minutes, but don't feel you have to leave, there's no one scheduled next, stay as long as you wish.
19:58:01 host_Cuddlebaby sounds like that was a good choice claudia
19:58:03 onthebrink i got lots of kissaluvs, but they weren't absorbent enough.  plus, they were too small from day 1
19:58:11 host_Cuddlebaby you all mean heavenly hineys right?
19:58:21 amysuen Happy Heinys
19:58:26 amysuen LOL
19:58:49 amysuen I have 1 zebra print one. I collect zebras so I have to get zebra fluff!
19:59:08 onthebrink no, i was thinking heavenly hineys as well!
19:59:19 TurboClaudia yeah, i noticed kissaluvs were good for breastfed poop but not so good for wetting.
19:59:28 z2akids I don't know heavenly heiny's
19:59:34 amysuen Hmmm, never heard of heavenly hineys, but I'm no hyena.
19:59:49 amysuen I've heard that about the kissaluvs.
19:59:58 onthebrink http://heavenlyhineys.com/store/index.asp
20:00:10 z2akids Rebecca - are you covers like Motherease in style/fit?
