11:08:47 therealocelot WIC is Women, Infants and Children, a food supplement program for low income children under 5 and pregnant/breastfeeding women

11:11:52 therealocelot Didn't need it when Leif was young enough to qualify :) It only lasts for up to a year (plus, we were in an entirely different state)

11:12:38 sugarcoated_poison_apple i have wic, and i've been lucky ... i've been getting the same nutritionist at my appointments, and she didn't bat an eyelash at me delaying solids and letting amorette self-wean. i'm also borrowing a lactina from them.

11:13:11 Host_Housepoet They are ready for download and can be printed on any home printer. You can also send the file to your local kinkos through email and have them print copies for you. Tell them that you are a non profit group and that you just need a few, like 25 copies or so, and they can give them to you for free. It doesn’t always happen, but it never hurts to ask!     Keep these flyers with you at all times, so that if you ever had an issue with someone you can casually hand this to them and continue nursing. We are having Carrie, the national director of the Nurse Out, write up an article about nicely saying ‘eff off’ when someone asks you to move when NIP. ;) She’s a southern girl, with great charm, and she’ll show you how to politely and firmly stand your ground, armed with a flyer such as these. J

11:13:57 Kelsey here in canada, we have monthly subsidies for low income familes, but we are not required to attend regular check-ups etc...and the only BF supprt we have is LLL.

Most states will be simple and not need much help. We will also start a reminder list to check your boards as well so it's earier on you.
